ふわっと揺らめく炎をイメージした「焔 - homura -（ほむら）」。
やわらかな風に吹かれても消えることのない強い炎のように、ゆらりと流れるようなカットが刻まれた片口です。
上部には江戸切子の伝統柄であり、喜びを久しく繋ぐとも言われる縁起の良い“菊繋ぎ文”の微細なカットが施され、ボトム部には大きく力強いカットが対称的に刻まれています。底にも施された深いカットは、上から見ると底から炎が生まれているようにも感じられます。また、多めに残されたガラスの地(鮮やかなガラスの色)は、躍動感のあるカットをより印象深くしています。

The “flame - homura -” is based on the image of a softly flickering flame.
Like a strong flame that does not go out even when blown by a soft wind, this kataguchi-guchi is engraved with cuts that seem to flow gently.
The top part is decorated with fine cuts of the “chrysanthemum connection pattern,” a traditional Edo faceting pattern that is said to bring joy for a long time, and the bottom part is symmetrically engraved with large, powerful cuts. The deep cut on the bottom also gives the impression of a flame from the bottom when viewed from above. The more glass ground (bright glass color) left on the bottom makes the dynamic cuts even more impressive.
