The aftertaste is medium. There is almost no smokiness. It is stimulating due to the strong alcohol content. Yoichi Woody & Vanilla does not have an age statement. I think it is the youngest of the three distillery limited series. It does not have the peaty taste that is typical of Yoichi, so if you compare it to Scotch, it has characteristics similar to Speyside or Highland malt. The vanilla flavor isn't overly strong, and it's a delicious whiskey that you wouldn't believe is made from unblended liquor. We recommend drinking it straight or on the rocks, but it's also delicious as a highball or with water.
