川を流れを感じさせる曲線が美しく刻まれた「流 - nagare - (ながれ)」。強すぎずも、しっかりとした流れを表現した華やかなぐい吞みです。

江戸切子の中でも難易度が高いと言われる“菊繋ぎ文”と、細かな光の反射が美しい“魚子”が施され、キラキラと輝き、ガラスの地(鮮やかなガラスの色)とのバランスが、川を目の前にした時のような澄んだ心地よさを感じさせるデザインです。

Nagare” is beautifully engraved with curves that remind one of a flowing river. It is a gorgeous sake cup that expresses a solid flow without being too strong.
The “chrysanthemum connection pattern,” which is said to be one of the most difficult to create in Edo faceting, and the “fish pattern,” which is beautiful in its fine reflection of light, are applied on the glass. The design is as clear and comfortable as if you were standing in front of a river.
