▪️商品解説
「余市ウッディ＆バニラ」は余市蒸留所の売店で販売されている、蒸留所の見学に訪れた方向けに販売されているボトルです。かつては通信販売で購入することも可能でしたが、現在は余市まで足を運ばない限り入手できない限定ボトルとなっています。



▪️テイスティング
香りはバニラ、ハチミツ、オレンジ、パンケーキ、洋梨、ドライイチジク、シュガードーナッツ。

口に含むと甘くてパワフル。徐々にドライでフルーティーさとオーク樽の芳ばしさ。
中盤以降までアロマが豊富ですが、フィニッシュにかけては徐々に落ち着いていきます。余韻は中程度。スモーキーさはほとんどありません。

アルコールが強いこともあって、刺激的。余市ウッディ＆バニラには年数表記がありません。蒸留所限定シリーズ３つの中では、熟成年数が一番若いのではないかと思います。
余市らしいピーティーさはないので、スコッチでたとえるならスペイサイドやハイランドモルトのような特徴があります。バニラの風味も過度に感じることはなく、構成原酒とは思えない程十分においしいウイスキーです。

飲み方はストレートかロックがおすすめですが、ハイボールや水割りでもおいしいです。

▪️Product Description
"Yoichi Woody & Vanilla" is a bottle sold at the Yoichi Distillery shop for those who visit the distillery. It used to be possible to purchase it by mail order, but now it is a limited bottle that can only be obtained by going to Yoichi.

▪️Tasting
The aroma is vanilla, honey, orange, pancake, pear, dried fig, and sugar donut.

Sweet and powerful in the mouth. Gradually dry, fruity and fragrant oak barrels.
The aroma is rich until the middle of the drink, but gradually calms down towards the finish. The aftertaste is medium. There is almost no smokiness.

It is stimulating due to the strong alcohol content. Yoichi Woody & Vanilla does not have an age statement. I think it is the youngest of the three distillery limited series.
It does not have the peaty taste that is typical of Yoichi, so if you compare it to Scotch, it has characteristics similar to Speyside or Highland malt. The vanilla flavor isn't overly strong, and it's a delicious whiskey that you wouldn't believe is made from unblended liquor.

We recommend drinking it straight or on the rocks, but it's also delicious as a highball or with water.
