カンナグラスは、YAMASAKI DESIGN WORKSの山崎宏さんが、木村硝子の社長から「石ころのようなグラスをデザインしてほしい」というリクエストを受けて生まれたアイテムです。

グラスの原型を木工用の道具である「鉋（かんな）」を使って作っていることが、商品名の由来です。倒れそうで倒れない、浮いているように見える、そんな不思議な感覚を楽しめます。

Kanna Glass was created when Hiroshi Yamazaki of YAMASAKI DESIGN WORKS received a request from the president of Kimura Glass to "design a glass that looks like a pebble."

The name of the product comes from the fact that the prototype of the glass was made using a "plane," a woodworking tool. You can enjoy the mysterious sensation of it looking like it might fall over but doesn't, and like it's floating.
